The Healthcare Design Education Day series of events, hosted by the producers of the Healthcare Design Conference, continues in June with a full day of free webinars dedicated to interior design in healthcare facilities.
Held June 27 beginning at 9 a.m. Eastern, the free one-hour webinars will give attendees the opportunity to earn up to four CEUs for participation.
The first webinar, “Undertaking Health System Facility Assessments,” will start at 9 a.m. Eastern and will cover the necessary steps to conducting a facility assessment, including how to set a budget and select a qualified architectural and engineering team to perform the assessment.
The second webinar, “Transforming the In-Patient Experience: Modular and Other Design Strategies Every Hospital Should Consider,” will start at 11 a.m. Eastern and will discuss the business case for using prefabricated walls, including their impact on design flexibility, maintenance, infection control, sustainability and life cycle costs.
The third webinar, “The Hospital-LESS Environment,” will start at 1 p.m. Eastern and will explore the ambulatory healthcare typologies of the future, specifically how system changes will be guided by the principles of cost containment, greater quality, and care for all.
The final webinar, “Private Development for Public Health Systems: Innovative Initiatives for Sustainable, Patient-Focused Facilities,” will start at 3 p.m. Eastern and will use the case study of the UCLA Outpatient Surgery & Medical Building in Santa Monica, Calif., to reveal the benefits of private development for public health systems.
