Grundfos highlights efficient, intelligent pumping systems at 2015 AHR Expo

CHICAGO — Grundfos expands its Commercial Buildings line with the introduction of PACOpaQ, customized HVAC packaged systems that were showcased at the 2015 AHR Expo in Chicago.

PACOpaQ combines the reliability of PACO-brand centrifugal pumps with the intelligence and efficiency of the Grundfos MLE motor and integrated variable frequency drive. The systems also feature a dedicated HVAC control, which automatically determines the most efficient speed and optimum number of pumps needed to meet desired flow and pressure. Heat exchangers are included in the PACOpaq as well as expansion tanks, hydraulic separators, and tangential air separators – also available separately. These components work together to provide lower initial cost, longer pump life, reduced maintenance, maximum efficiency and quieter operation for the end user.

Grundfos’ booth at the AHR Expo will also highlight the Hydro Multi-B and Hydro MPC BoosterpaQ. Based on the highly efficient Grundfos CR pump range, the sturdy, compact Hydro MPC BoosterpaQ is a fully integrated pressure-boosting system with the intelligent CU 352 controller optimizing pump operation based on demand. Not only is the Hydro MPC BoosterpQ the most energy-efficient solution for varying flow needs, it’s now available for immediate delivery with no lead times.

The Hydro Multi-B is an all variable speed controlled pump system utilizing two to three GrundfosCME pumps with integrated variable frequency drive. The Hydro Multi-B boasts two key features: an easy-to-use CU323 controller for efficient, optimized pump control in constant-pressure applications and simplicity of installation and operation, the key design concept for the system. The Hydro Multi-B has a current lead time of x, but it will be available to immediate delivery in March.

Visitors to the AHR Expo will find the PACOpaQ™, Hydro Multi-B™ and Hydro MPC BoosterpaQ™ in Grundfos’ booth, #5236 in the South Hall of Chicago’s McCormick Place. Also on display will be:

• Additional members of the Grundfos boosting family, the new CMBE, MQ, and SBA

• PACO-brand pumps with Grundfos energy efficient motors, VLSE, LFE, LCSE, VSME

• The ECM motor family, ALPHA, MAGNA3 and COMFORT PM AUTO

• The Grundfos Technical Institute, an educational platform that allows industry professional to maintain their continuing education credits through a wide variety of flexible learning avenues.
