HBI China 2014 concludes with record-breaking success

Hospital Build & Infrastructure China 2014 (HBI China 2014), the flagship event for Asia's hospital build and infrastructure, ended on a high note on 23 June at the Nanjing International Expo Centre. In three days, HBI China 2014 welcomed a total of 200 renowned global manufacturers and more than 20,000 professional visitors from 36 different countries and regions. Occupying a total exhibition area of 14,000 square meters, the 2014 edition is the most successful to date, as it saw an increase of 16.7% in exhibitor booths and 47% growth in visitor figures.

Centered on the theme of “Hospital Development and Reform with Green and Intelligent Medical Technology”, HBI China 2014 highlighted innovative solutions and practices in hospital construction and development, including current issues such as hospital construction planning and design, efficient construction, operation and management of hospitals, objective and accomplishment of future hospital construction.

Comprehensive Showcase for the Entire Industry Value Chain

With its growing influence, HBI China is garnering more and more attention from the industry. In line with the show’s aim to internationalize and specialize, the products on display covered every aspect of hospital infrastructure construction – ranging from small items such as medical power supply and energy-efficient medical gas valves, to large items like sterilizers for central supply rooms and medical washer disinfectors – showing the latest development trends of hospital construction.

In a similar fashion, the 15th China Hospital Construction Forum also revolved around the theme of Green and Intelligent Medical Technology. A total of more than 1,500 leaders from the National Health and Family Planning Commission of China and related departments, domestic and foreign authorities and leading experts, technical staff of enterprises and administrators and constructors of hospital construction participated actively in discussions on issues relating to hospital construction. Along with several themed sub-forums and specific salons, the forum provided delegates with a professional platform for knowledge exchange.

Xi Yiqun, Vice-president of Children’s Hospital of Shanghai, expressed, “The China Hospital Construction Forum adhered to its calling as the academic authority that looks out for high-end products, and also persisted in its pursuit to be more international and specialized – combining opportunities for knowledge exchange with an exhibition that offers quality technology.
