Halyard Hosting Outbreak Readiness Webinar

Halyard will be hosting a webinar on November 7, 2018 at 3:00 PM EST outlining key considerations and strategies for outbreak readiness, including how to identify the specific needs of an organization, minimize potential for disruption in the supply chain in times of high demand and effectively maintain a PPE stockpile once established. Jason Burnham of Halyard, is leading this webinar and recently presented on the topic at the 2018 AHRMM Conference.

The 2017-2018 Flu Season was a record breaker, crowding more hospitals and lasting more weeks than any flu season in decades. Though healthcare organizations can’t simply look at activity from the prior year to predict upcoming needs, last year’s flu season was an important reminder that preparation is essential to having the critical supplies needed to protect healthcare workers and prevent further spread of the disease. As planning for a flu season like 2018 is a challenge, Halyard has set out to help. This program will compare outbreaks from seasonal flu to pandemics, the different PPE recommendations for each, and how to access tools and resources available to accurately calculate their hospital’s supply requirements and plan for implementation.
