Halyard Hosting Webinar on Potential Long-term Effects of Occupational Exposure to Hazardous Drugs

As the cancer treatment landscape continues to evolve, new treatments and drugs are increasingly being introduced to the market. While this can mean new hope for patients, the extreme toxicity of many of these drugs puts hospital staff at risk of exposure. In fact, eight million U.S. healthcare workers are exposed to hazardous drugs annually.

As part of its efforts to raise healthcare personnel awareness of and reduce exposure to potentially harmful chemotherapy drugs, Halyard will be hosting a live, accredited webinar on September 26 at 2:00 p.m. Topics will include understanding the potential long-term effects of occupational exposure to hazardous drugs, specifically chemotherapy agents, and the importance of using the right personal protective equipment (PPE) to limit exposure and ensure compliance with the latest guidelines. Participation in the webinar is free and clinicians can register by visiting the Halyard website here.
