Hawaii approves funding for hospital upgrades

A total of $9.2 million was ok'd for projects that will include the renovation of two state facilities

Hawaii has approved $9.2 million for projects that will include the renovation of two state facilities, according to an article on the Healthcare Construction + Operations website.

The state has reserved $1.8 million to renovate the Hilo Medical Center's patient rooms, bathrooms and office spaces. A total of $1.5 million will go toward a master plan study for the Leahi Hospital campus in Honolulu. The master plan would include new building construction, renovations, expanding long-term care services and exploring public-private partnerships
