New Jersey medical center opens patient engagement resource

New Jersey's Morristown Medical Center has opened a technology-driven patient engagement resource to connect patients and providers, according to an article on the Health Facilities Management website.

With the use of mobile health technology growing quickly among patients, Morristown is offering a resource for advice and assistance, the article said.

HealtheConnect, an Apple Genius Bar-type of retail operation can assist patients with a number of technology issues, including accessing and using their electronic health records.

A similar store, the O Bar, was opened by New Orleans-based Ochsner Health System last year

Both operations accept faux prescriptions for apps or other technology from providers, and offer wearable devices for sale.
