Most systems already installed are capable of being upgraded to offer greater control of healthcare facilities. 

With the Internet of Things and the use of open protocol for building automation systems, it has become easier to integrate diverse systems.

A facility may only need some software, some programming or a single piece of equipment to integrate its systems.
