Healthcare design and construction professionals recognized for innovation

The award recognizes a healthcare service company that demonstrates a progressive approach to developing strategic partnerships that have contributed to transforming healthcare through innovation

By Healthcare Facilities Today

The Innovation Institute announced three leaders in healthcare design and construction as recipients of its first  "Transformation Through Innovation Award." They are Jim Maslowski and Bill Maslowski, co-founders of PDC Facilities, Inc.; and Scot Berlinski, president of Healthcare Design & Construction (HDC), LLC, according to an article on the Digital Journal website.

"These are exciting and changing times in healthcare, and with HDC’s focus in acute care and outpatient medical diagnostic construction, we determined that sustainable growth potential exists through full alignment and integration with the Innovation Institute," said Berlinski.

"We are honored to receive this award, and we are happy to be a part of the success of The Innovation Institute," Maslowski said in the article.

The Transformation Through Innovation Award will be presented each year to a healthcare service company within The Innovation Institute’s Enterprise Development Group (EDG) that demonstrates a progressive approach to developing strategic partnerships that have contributed to transforming healthcare through innovation. HDC is one of three EDG service companies. The other two are Petra Integrated Construction Strategies and Tech Knowledge Associates, a clinical engineering services company. Plans are to grow the EDG by three to five companies per year, depending on the demand for specific healthcare service areas, according to the article.
