The Mad River garden began eight years ago when the hospital decided to grow its own greens.
The organic garden is now a 2-acre farm with 4,000 square feet of greenhouse. It yields up to 80 percent of the hospital’s produce needs for in-patient and adult day care meals, department catering, and the café.
