Healthy, safe, clean and green with MicroWorks From HOSPECO

HOSPECO is proud to announce their complete system of MicroWorks® microfiber environmental hygiene products. The new line includes MicroWorks wiping cloths, flat wet mop systems, dust mops with pockets, hook-and-loop fastener dust mops, string mops, strip mops, dust wands and accessories. These products can take your cleaning efforts to the next level, offering healthier, safer, clean and green solutions — an excellent choice for environmentally friendly corporate cleaning programs.

Healthy — Microfiber demonstrates “superior microbial removal” compared to conventional products.* An independent study reported by the UC Davis Health System found that, on surfaces on which a string mop had been used, bacteria had only been reduced by 30 percent, whereas a microfiber mop was able to remove 99 percent of bacteria. Microfiber also minimizes cross-contamination, since surface-cleaning products can be changed out quickly and easily from room-to-room or from station-to-station — an important consideration, particularly for healthcare systems and for foodservice, where hazard containment is a critical control point.

Safe — Microfiber has been found to be significantly more effective than other cleaning systems. Because of microfiber’s advanced cleaning capacity, workers do not have to continuously dip a MicroWorks mop into the cleaning solution, contaminating the solution and making it less effective. And these lighter weight items are easier to use — there’s less bending and stooping, and no wringing out of heavy mops — making these ergonomically superior. Finally, because microfibers offer a “dryer clean” relative to cotton mops, slip-and-fall hazards are reduced.

Clean — Each MicroWorks product is made from soft, ultra-absorbent, polyester (80 percent) and polyimide (20 percent) fibers. Strands are split until they are thinner than silk — 200,000 microfilaments per square inch. This dramatically expanded surface area carries a positive charge and attracts and traps the negatively charged dirt rather than simply pushing it around like cotton products.

Green — MicroWorks microfiber products use 97 percent less water and chemicals than a traditional cleaning system, a bonus for the environment. And the increased surface area of the more numerous microstrands is better at attracting dust, helping to improve air quality. Finally, microfiber products are launderable and not as susceptible to mold and mildew like conventional cotton cleaning products.

Durable microfiber fabric holds its shape longer than other commonly used materials, extending the life of the item and resulting in long-term cost savings. Depending on the application and the configuration, microfiber can be washed and reused hundreds of times.

Plus, the inherent softness, durability and versatility of microfiber mean these products can be used on a wide variety of surfaces because they are non-abrasive, scratch-free and lint-free.

All MicroWorks wet mops feature scrubber pads for hard-to-clean areas. Each of the product segments comes in a complete range of sizes and colors, and the wiping cloths are offered in a variety of weights. All of the new MicroWorks products are warehoused in HOSPECO distribution centers and may be combined with other HOSPECO products to meet prepaid minimums.

From wiping to mopping to dusting, MicroWorks has the ideal solutions for every corporate environment.
