This year's High-Performance Buildings + Workplaces event will include a session on new standards for indoor environments
The intersection of cognitive function research, WELL standards and new legionella standards from ASHRAE; breathing new life into our understanding of how humans interact with their indoor environments. During this session, attendees will gain an understanding on integrating the big picture of recent, game-changing studies that are revealing the power of indoor environmental quality and the impact on human performance. IAQ has massive potential to improve corporate productivity. Mr. Turner will share results of the most recent study (published by the Harvard School of Public Health), as well as anecdotes from his 30+ years of indoor environmental experience.
Learning Objectives:
1. Apply the results of research that has been underway for the past twenty years linking building environments to human performance.
2. Identify what specifically can be done to improve indoor environments in existing commercial buildings.
3. Implement measurements, reports and techniques to monetize indoor environmental data on their commercial spaces.
4. Cite hard data which will convince building stakeholders that the relationship which forms the bedrock and assumption of this presentation is real and convincing.
The session, scheduled for May 17 at 4:10 p.m., will be given by Simon Turner, CEO of Healthy Buildings
The event will be held in Arlington, Texas, on May 17-18, 2017.
