Hospice centers offer home away from home

Healthcare Design article says that population changes mean both the number and size of facilites are growing


With most patients in hospice and palliative care centers over the age of 65 and the massive baby boomer population moving into this age group, the hospice market is likely to swell, according to an article on the Healthcare Design website. Hospice design mixes hospitality and residential styles with plenty of room and amenities for both patients and their families and creative strategies to mask an institutional look when possible.
