Monique Walker, director of housekeeping Vi at Grayhawk, recognized with 'Managers of Distinction' Award

Monique Walker, director of housekeeping at the Vi at Grayhawk senior care facility in Scottsdale, Ariz., S.C., was recognized with a Facility Cleaning Decisions magazine "Managers of Distinction" award, according to an article on the CleanLink website.

“Monique shows integrity by leading by example and practicing what she preaches,” Stephanie Estes, Vi at Grayhawk human resources generalist, said in the article.

"Monique never accepts less than exceptional results and never delivers less than exceptional customer service.”

Walker not only practices these values personally, she teaches them to her staff, the article said. Through focus groups with her team, she encourages them to discuss examples of what they have done to show compassion, and she outlines her expectations in terms of excellence.
