Indiana senior facility honored for design

Wellbrooke of Westfield recognized for 'urban lodge' aesthetic and design

The Wellbrooke of Westfield senior assisted living facility in Westfield, Ind., was recently recognized by Contract Magazine and The Center for Health Design for its 'urban lodge' aesthetic and design, according to an article on the Current in Westfield website.

“The design of Wellbrooke of Westfield represents a point in time where the focus of the healthcare industry has merged with service and hospitality,” architectural designer Tim Wise said. “Our goal ... was to create facilities that provide exceptional health and wellness services while not sacrificing a high-level of care and design aesthetic.”

“The hotel-like amenities create a sense of place for residents as well as nurture opportunities for social interaction and healing,” he  said.

Wellbrooke has 70 private and companion suites for physical, occupational and speech rehabilitation and long-term care, as well as 30 apartments for full-time post-acute and transitional care.
