Industry leaders say durability and flexibility are key for hospital infrastructures, according to an article on the Health Facility Management website.

The Academy for Healthcare Infrastructure (AHI) established five teams to identify strategies for achieving those goals The result was five white papers that represent the current thinking in the healthcare facilities industry.

The first team investigated strategies adopted by successful hospital owners. The second explored developing a flexible healthcare infrastructure.

The third team reported on speed-to-market strategies. Defining the next generation’s focus, was the theme of the fourth team. The fifth focused on reducing capital costs.
