Interlogix launches network and analog video recorders and updated video management systems

LINCOLNTON, N.C. — Interlogix, a leader in security and life-safety solutions for residential and commercial enterprises, is launching several new video recording and management systems, including the TruVision® TVN 10, a robust Internet protocol (IP) network video recorder (NVR) featuring megapixel resolution at analog system prices without the need to deploy expensive information technology infrastructure. Interlogix is a part of UTC Building & Industrial Systems, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX).

The TVN 10 helps integrators support smaller commercial installations of megapixel technology by providing an affordable, easily deployed solution. The unit offers an all-in-one design with a Power Over Ethernet (PoE) switch built into the chassis and full control via front panel buttons and a mouse. The TVN 10 can also be operated remotely using its full-featured Web browser interface or the TruVision Navigator video management and TVRMobile software applications.

“The design of the TVN 10 makes installation easy and cost-effective,” said Kostas Mellos, product marketing manager, video, Lenel and Interlogix. “This NVR is ideal for protecting one to hundreds of sites – all controlled remotely from a smartphone or tablet.”

Interlogix introduced three other video recorders, including the NVR 21Plus, with the capability of recording between eight and 32 IP cameras in real-time high-definition resolution, and two new high-performance analog digital video recorders (DVRs), the TVR 42 and TVR 12, which offer premium 960H resolutions while recording up to four and 16 cameras, respectively.

TruVision Navigator 5, Interlogix’s open-architecture commercial video management software, also has been updated to accommodate new Interlogix cameras and recorders while remaining backward compatible. Navigator 5 is compliant with IP cameras from all major manufacturers, integrating, managing and controlling multiple recording devices, such as DVRs, hybrid DVR-NVRs and commercial off-the-shelf servers. The software also allows the deployment of any combination of analog and IP devices within the same environment.

Prism Enterprise Video Management System from Lenel has also been upgraded to support multiple monitors and integrates seamlessly with Interlogix megapixel cameras. The open-platform IP system is available as a stand-alone video management system or can be integrated with Lenel’s OnGuard® enterprise security management platform for event-driven monitoring.

“We offer customers a full suite of IP and analog video products with superior image quality that have been extensively tested for long-term reliability. They also offer easy installation and consistent interfaces, as well as backward compatibility to protect your long-term investment,” said Mike Chiavacci, general manager, video and transmission, Lenel and Interlogix.

Each of these video products will be demonstrated at ISC West in Las Vegas, April 2-4, in booth #18019 and will be available through authorized channel partners in May 2014.

As part of its technology preview, Interlogix will present TruVision Cloud, a cloud-based IP video system consisting of three components:

·       A local device located in the home or business that connects, consolidates and manages all IP cameras

·       Remote control software to access, view and manage video, either Web- or mobile-based

·       A constant connection to secure Internet data centers that store the video. In case of network failure, the local bridge can store video until connectivity is restored.

A technology for high-end applications, based on Short-Wave Infrared (SWIR), will also be previewed at the show. The camera, developed by United Technologies Corp., is intended for use by government agencies and large commercial end users that need the ability to view images through extremely harsh environmental factors, such as smoke and fog.
