Johnson Controls: Source1 HVAC Supply Network Expands Into D.C. and Baltimore

Johnson Controls announced  that it will expand its Source1 HVAC Supply network into the Washington D.C. and Baltimore metropolitan markets. With locations already in many major U.S. markets, Source1 HVAC Supply Centers distribute the YORK and Guardian brands of unitary products in both the residential and light commercial space and are the factory direct channel for that business.

“We are excited to have the chance to expand our business into the D.C. and Baltimore markets and serve more customers. Our goal is to be the preferred partner for HVAC dealers and contractors because of the quality YORK equipment, convenient HVAC parts and the service they get from the Source1 HVAC Supply team,” said Dave Smithey, vice president and general manager of Source1 HVAC Supply Centers, Unitary Products Group, Johnson Controls.

Because the Washington D.C. and Baltimore metropolitan markets are new for Source1, sales talent recruitment and customer growth will be an initial focus. Leading that initiative will be Scott Levy, executive director of sales, Source1 HVAC Supply Centers, Unitary Products Group, Johnson Controls. Levy spent 23 years in these markets working in the distribution industry prior to joining Johnson Controls. “I am excited to be back in this market. Our new line of mid-tier and high efficiency products make us a perfect fit for this area,” said Levy.

The Source1 HVAC Supply Centers carry replacement components for their own manufactured products as well as most of the parts and supplies normally associated with the industry. It offers a one-stop shop for HVAC contractors who need parts or equipment quickly and conveniently. In addition, Source1 HVAC Supply Centers stock add-on replacement, new construction and commercial products for the traditional ducted and expanding ductless applications. The current footprint is in 14 major markets throughout the United States.
