Larson Electronics Releases Portable Explosion Proof Tripod Mounted LED Tank Light

Larson Electronics, industrial grade lighting leader, released an explosion proof portable LED tank light, rated for Class 1, Division 1 and 2, Groups C and D, Class II, Division 1 and 2, Groups E, F and G, Class III, Divisions 1 and 2, that produces 6,250 lumens of light at just 50 watts. This LED fixture is mounted to a tripod and is part of the QC Series from Larson that provides a quick disconnect mounting system that is compatible with various mount styles.

The EPL-QC-QP-1X50LED-RT-100-EPP explosion proof portable tank light from Larson Electronics produces 6,250 lumens of light while drawing only 50 watts. This tripod mounted explosion proof LED light provides 3,500 square feet of work area coverage. Varying beam angles are offered - individually ideal for specific environments. A 60° beam is perfect for narrow, confined spaces, while the 125° beam offers a diffused light source less intense in brightness, ideal for general area work. The 140° beam is more ideal for proximity work where illumination of a wider area and even light distribution is a concern

This explosion proof LED tank light is mounted on a three-leg tripod fabricated from non-sparking powder coated aluminum. The legs are easily collapsible for transportation and storage. The LED lamp head is adjustable and can be quickly mounted and dismounted from the base with the help of an innovative quick-change design platform. The ability for this unit to be collapsed and passed through conventional manholes such as those in petrochemical containers and ship storage tanks, makes it an ideal lighting solution for these types of applications.

Included with this LED light cart is 100 feet of 16/3 chemical and abrasion resistant SOOW cord terminated in an explosion proof cord cap. The EPL-QC-QP-1X50LED-RT-100-EPP is IP67 rated, dust-proof, and protected against high pressure jets and temporary submersion. The cast aluminum body excellent durability and resistance to vibration and impacts. The LED assembly is universal voltage capable and can be operated with 100-277 VAC, 50/60Hz.

“This LED tank light is a great explosion proof lighting solution for tight operations like tank cleaning, especially with the addition of the quick-change mount,” said Rob Bresnahan, CEO of Larson Electronics LLC. “The quick connect mounting allows operators to effortlessly use the lamp head assembly with the entire range of QC mounting solutions, from portable and magnetic stands, to carts, even towers.”
