Larson Electronics Unleashes 125/250V Portable Spiderbox with Receptacles

Larson Electronics, a company with extensive expertise in industrial lighting products and temporary power distribution systems, announced the release of a 125/250V portable spiderbox with receptacles. This NEMA 3R unit is designed for indoor or outdoor power distribution, allowing operators to extend power connections via preferred power sources, including generators and main power supplies.

The WALSB-50AI-125.250V-1X50A-2X30A-4X20A features a 50-amp 125/250V CS6375 inlet for bringing in 125/250V power on the input (primary) side of the temporary spiderbox. Operators are provided access to one, 50-amp 125/250V CS6369 receptacle in a feed-through configuration for powering 125/250V equipment. The secondary side contains two, 30-amp 250V L6-30R receptacles for 240V equipment and four, 20-amp 125V 5-20R twist-lock GFCI receptacles for 120V equipment. This unit features 4-6mA GFI trip level, providing a maximum trip time of 25 mS.  Protective functionalities include overload and short circuit protection.

The UL 1640 portable spiderbox is made out of 16-gauge steel. A NEMA 3R rated enclosure ensure reliable protection against water, moisture, dust and external ice formation. All receptacles are protected by weatherproof and flame/impact resistant covers. Approved for wet locations, a sturdy base stand keeps the unit above ground and away from pools of water and rugged terrain. This lightweight spiderbox can be easily transported from one location to another. For seamless detection of the device around busy work sites, the power distribution box features a bright yellow housing.

For maximum compatibility, Larson Electronics, as a UL 1640 panel shop, can customize this temporary spiderbox (and other power distribution products) to accommodate the power requirements of projects. Examples of customization: voltage, phase (single or three), panel configuration, transformer size, wiring configuration, panel ratings, receptacles, mounting and more.
