Leapfrog updates methodology

The changes will take effect for the grades released in October


The Leapfrog Group recently published updates to its Hospital Safety Grade scoring methodology, which will take effect for the grades released in October, according to an article on the Becker's Clinical Leadership and Infection Control website.

The changes include a measure of hospitals' implementation and effective use of computerized physician order entry in inpatient units. 

A measure on bar code medication administration will also be added.
