The look of the Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital in Omaha, Neb., reflects its emphasis on holistic rehabilitation, according to an article on the Healthcare Design website. Architects were asked for a design that would not be overtly institutional. The new facility was organized as a village-like collection of architectural forms to makes it friendlier and more accessible, the article said.
