MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis. Magnetek, Inc. (NASDAQ: MAG), a leading designer and manufacturer of elevator drives, today announced the availability of their evolutionary Quattro® AC Cube elevator drive. This all-in-one regenerative drive includes the functionality of a full-size Quattro AC, minus the enclosure, saving dollars and space. The Quattro AC Cube provides comparable energy savings, reliability, and performance to Magnetek’s standard unit but in one-third the space.
The Quattro AC Cube is a fully integrated, clean power drive that keeps harmonics low, meeting stringent building power requirements. All drive and regeneration-related power control components, including line and motor contactors, harmonic filters, and fusing are integrated into this space-saving package. This eliminates the need for multiple external modules and reduces costs for panel mounting and component wiring. Quattro AC Cube also includes a voltage boost feature that supplies additional voltage for operation, reducing the impact of utility voltage sags or the need for an external transformer.
“Quattro AC Cube is a great addition to Magnetek’s industry-leading Quattro family of products, which have saved customers energy and money in over 2,200 installations worldwide,” said Ed Butte, director of Magnetek’s elevator business. “With its proven energy savings, superior ride quality, and lower installation costs, the Quattro Cube is the ideal green solution for new elevator drive installations and modernization projects.”
