Major Health System Merger in Georgia Completed

Wellstar Health System and Augusta Health System have become a unified system.

Wellstar Health System and Augusta University Health System (AUHS) announced that they are a unified system. AUHS will now be known locally as Wellstar MCG Health. This partnership is set to make an impact on the lives of people throughout the state. 

This partnership also represents an alliance between Wellstar Health System, the University System of Georgia, Wellstar MCG Health and Augusta University’s Medical College of Georgia (MCG), to advance medical education and research forward. They are also addressing physician shortages in their local communities.
