Manhattan hospitals partner for disaster drill

Lenox Hill Hospital, New York-Presbyterian practice decontamination, test patient-tracking system

Lenox Hill Hospital and New York-Presbyterian partnered for a disaster drill that practiced decontamination procedures and tested a new patient- tracking system, according to an article on the NY1 website.

"We really want to make sure that our staff knows how to handle a situation like that, because one of the most important things for us is to make sure that our staff is safe," Anthony Egan, manager of training for the North Shore LIJ Health System, said in the article.

The exercise was also a test of the new patient-tracking system called e-FINDS, which will keep tabs on patient movements.
