West Caldwell, New Jersey – Designed as scalable, energy-efficient lighting solutions for retrofit and new construction projects, MaxLite® expands its line of LED Commercial Recessed Downlight Retrofits to include six- and nine-inch replacements for up to 52-watt two-light fluorescent fixtures. These damp-listed retrofits deliver general light distribution in office buildings, hospitals and healthcare centers, schools and institutions, factories, warehouses, transportation terminals, houses of worship, retail spaces and other facilities. ENERGY STAR® qualified 3000K correlated color temperature (CCT) models can be purchased with available rebates of up to $60 from select utilities nationwide.
“Our new LED Commercial Recessed Retrofits provide an easy cost-effective solution to upgrade any commercial building,” said Product Marketing Manager Ken Charton. “MaxLite is aware that replacing PL lamps is a costly, time-consuming and constant task, and our downlight design solves that problem by offering a maintenance-free lifetime.”
The easy-to-install retrofits feature an innovative, patent-pending quick connect case, which enables a convenient line-voltage connection. The short flexible conduit attaches to the quick connect case, connecting this piece to the interchangeable LED engine and reflector, and installs the retrofit into the existing frame with pressure clips.
The LED engines feature an LED array that produces uniform distribution, a die-cast aluminum heat sink to ensure cool operation and long lumen maintenance, and an external driver that generates light using interchangeable reflectors with different sized housings. A heavy-gauge anodized aluminum reflector has a haze finish optimized to deliver glare-free consistent lighting.
Available in 3000K and 4000K CCTs, the six- and nine-inch models are offered in 26 and 34 watts with a significant 2,145-lumen output for lobbies and other spaces with hard-to-reach ceilings. All styles offer a color-rendering index (CRI) above 85. Models with 2700K and 5000K CCTs are also available for special orders.
Optional architectural and commercial recessed frames can be paired with the retrofits for new construction applications. Also available is an extended trim ring to help conceal imperfections in ceiling openings.
For new construction applications, MaxLite offers a line of architectural and commercial recessed fixture frames that can be installed easily with the commercial retrofit.
