Mayo Clinic Health System to Close Minnesota Facility

The clinic has been temporarily closed since mid-August 2023.

By HFT Staff

After careful consideration, Mayo Clinic Health System has decided not to reopen its clinic in Janesville. The clinic has been closed temporarily since mid-August 2023 due to a staffing situation. All staff previously assigned to the Janesville clinic have been working at Mayo Clinic Health System in Waseca during this closure and will continue to do so permanently.

Janesville clinic patients have been receiving care 10 miles away at Mayo Clinic Health System in Waseca or 18 miles away at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato for the past six months. Patients also have access to many care options beyond traditional face-to-face visits, including the newly launched Primary Care On Demand app, virtual appointments, Nurse Line and the patient portal.

Patients are being contacted and will receive support from Mayo Clinic Health System staff to transition their care.
