Midland Bi-fold Doors announces new name (Midland Door Solutions), website, facility

WEST FARGO, N.D. – Midland Door Solutions, formerly Midland Bi-fold Doors, today announced its new company name and website at www.midlanddoorsolutions.com. The company also has opened a new production and warehouse facility in West Fargo, North Dakota, and will host an open house there for customers and partners at 11 a.m. July 31, 2014.

Midland Door Solutions chose the new name to better reflect its core capabilities and products as well as its growth into architectural applications. Along with the new name, the company has revealed a new logo that features the updated name.

The new, 40,000-square-foot building near the facility of its sister company, Midland Garage Door Manufacturing Company, will accommodate Midland Door Solutions’ growing product line and customer base, according to General Manager Jason Myrvik.

“While our name has changed, our commitment to providing high-quality products, unparalleled customer service and timely installations remains,” he said. “With our new facility, we are able to continue to meet our customers’ needs as our business grows, and to provide the highest quality products with the fastest turnaround in the industry.”

The open house event on July 31 will include free food and beverages and allow customers to tour the building and learn about Midland’s products and services.

In the meantime, Midland’s new website provides easy navigation to company, product and service information. Users can request a quote and view literature, past projects and testimonials. Door owners can register their products on the site, as well as view operator manuals, preventative maintenance checklists and troubleshooting guidelines. The site also features downloadable plans to assist architects and builders in designing new structures.

Midland Door Solutions custom designs its doors to meet customers’ exact specifications, including color, moisture resistance, size, sheeting and window requirements for use in both new and existing buildings. Midland uses steel with a rust-inhibiting finish for every component of its doors, so they are as much as 33 percent stronger than doors using a mix of steel and wood. Midland’s bi-fold and hydraulic doors also last longer and meet the strictest building code requirements for wind resistance. In addition, the doors require less maintenance, which results in a low total cost of ownership.

Midland bi-fold doors open nearly the full width and height of a building’s doorframe, which allows users to store larger equipment. The doors feature heavy-gauge steel tubing and 5/8- and 3/4-inch cold-rolled hinge pins that are welded to the frames for enhanced durability. Watertight seals between the doorframes and sheeting provide effective and durable seals at the bottom of the doors.

Every Midland hydraulic door system features two cylinders powered by a 2- to 5-horsepower motor and a 220-volt, single-phase electric-over-hydraulic pump. This opens the door as much as 25 percent faster than non-hydraulic doors. The doors’ reinforced steel frames feature heavy-duty, 3/4-inch-steel plate jambs and 3/8-inch-thick tube jambs for enhanced durability. All joints are secured by 3/4-inch hinge pins to withstand repetitive use.

Midland Door Solutions is a full-service door manufacturer that designs, builds and installs custom bi-fold and hydraulic doors for agriculture, aviation and commercial buildings, and custom designs doors for architectural plans for home and commercial uses. For nearly 20 years, it has provided customers with durable, high-quality doors and unparalleled customer service. Midland Door Solutions is a sister company to Midland Garage Door Manufacturing Company, West Fargo, North Dakota, a garage door manufacturer that has been delivering garage door solutions to homeowners since 1975.
