SUWANEE, Ga. – Mitsubishi Electric US Cooling & Heating Division, America’s No. 1 selling brand of ductless cooling and heating technology, has launched its Diamond System Builder layout tool for engineers. Diamond System Builder is an equipment selection software tool that makes it quicker and easier for engineers to design Mitsubishi Electric CITY MULTI® Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) zoning and split-ductless systems.
The new Diamond System Builder replaces the Design Tool software for current- and future-generation equipment. It includes built-in tests to enable engineers to check that line lengths, maximum connected capacities, component selection and control scheme are within the system requirements. The tool can also generate an AutoCAD schematic with wiring and piping diagrams, streamlining the installation process. Additionally, the software can provide a system summary in a spreadsheet, simplifying job quoting and equipment list tracking.
“Our goal is to make our products as easy and efficient to use as possible, from design and specification, to installation and operation,” said Mike Smith, senior marketing manager - commercial products, Mitsubishi Electric US Cooling & Heating Division. “The new Diamond System Builder includes upgrades that will improve the experience engineers have specifying our products.”
Diamond System Builder’s key features include:
Increased support of piping length allowances and relative height differential checking.
Improved control view layout with streamlined remote controller selection.
Support for selection, with corrected capacities, of M-, S- and P-Series systems, including AutoCAD output.
Future software maintenance and updating via remote database syncing strategy, minimizing errors from outdated information and reducing frequency of full software reinstallation for updates.
Integration of the startup checklist reporting process for extended warranty with significant reduction of required inputs.
Enhanced schedule output functionality for specifying engineers.
