Mobile Access to Live Video Surveillance Informs and Accelerates Emergency Response

With the increasing frequency of active threat situations and emergencies, facility teams in every industry or facility type must be prepared to respond instantly. To improve response capabilities of facility team operations, ARC Document Solutions (NYSE: ARC) has launched a major product expansion to its line of mobile facilities dashboards called ARC Emergency, which now incorporates customer facility surveillance cameras, asbestos abatement monitoring reports, safety data sheets, equipment maps and more.

ARC Emergency provides mobile access to emergency plans, floor plans, shutoffs with map locations, evacuation maps and other essential building information during an emergency. With the incorporation of real-time video surveillance camera feeds, plus other functionality, ARC Emergency is a comprehensive tool for facility teams, and a centralized repository of building and emergency information for corporate locations, higher education campuses, healthcare institutions and other types of facilities.

“We created our mobile facilities dashboards to provide instant access to critical information for teams who are tasked with resolving dangerous facilities situations, minimizing physical and reputation damage, and reducing the cost and human impact of emergency situations,” said Brian Bailard, executive vice president at ARC. “Real-time visibility into emergency situations without increasing risk is why it’s critical to having access to video feeds, tools to identify on-site hazardous materials, and relevant safety information.”

With access to live security video feeds, facility and emergency management teams are now able to share real-time situation intelligence with first responders from their ARC Mobile Facilities Dashboards via text or email—before they enter a building. Additional new features include:

• Safety Data Sheets (SDS) – for any known hazardous chemicals used or stored in the facility

• Asbestos Abatement Project Monitoring Reports

• Underground Utilities – Specifies utility types and their location

• Equipment Maps

• • Indoor and outdoor security lights – manufacturer model numbers and specifications for light fixtures plus corresponding replacement bulbs photos

• • Emergency call boxes – photos and locations

• • Locks – images, legend and photos for 4 types: keypad, fingerprint, code/card/key, alarm keypad
