Morbern Announces Contract Program With Greenhouse Fabrics

Morbern, the leading North American designer and manufacturer of upholstery vinyl for commercial interiors has partnered with High Point, North Carolina-based Greenhouse Fabrics for a program targeting the contract furnishings market.

Greenhouse, a fourth-generation, family owned fabric distributor, mainly serves the needs of the residential market, selling to upholstery shops and interior designers. Future growth plans include the support of Morbern to move into the contract furnishings market.

“Greenhouse has been an excellent partner with Morbern throughout the years.” said John Weaver, Morbern’s executive vice president of sales and marketing. “It’s natural to support your partners’ growth and we hope to use our extensive experience in the contract industry to help them build a new line of business.”

The program, called Connections, began in the spring and provides cut yardage from approximately 80 Morbern skus including bestsellers Allante and Knockout along with some new selections such as a flame-retardant ingredient free vinyl and one that performs both indoors and out. Purchasing vinyl through the program benefits manufacturers in two ways. First, they do not need to buy vinyl inventory; ordering only the exact amount needed for a project. Second, Greenhouse serves as their partner for memos and other samples needed for the manufacturer’s customers.

“We are excited to introduce our newest contract vinyl collection offering 80 beautiful colors designated for restaurants, healthcare, commercial seating and some marine applications,” said Julie Talbert, Greenhouse Fabrics director of product development.
