Movie theater to be renovated to house health facility

Adena Health System to relocate majority of its rehabilitation services to a vacant Chillicothe theater

Adena Health System in Chillicothe, Ohio, plans to relocate the majority of its rehabilitation services and home healthcare operations to a vacant west side movie theater by 2015, according to an article on the Chillicothe Gazette website.

The facility will serve as the new center for home healthcare operations and will house 20 of Adena’s rehabilitation employees and 75 of its home healthcare workers.

According to the article, the move will better serve Adena's clients. Research and feedback from patients showed a large number of them travel from the western part of Ross County, said Maria Smith, spokeswoman for Adena.

Renovations and construction will be ongoing to prepare for occupancy by Adena, which is expected to take place as early as January 2015.
