Mul-T-Lock to offer CLIQ and ProQsimity Wireless electronic access control solutions

LAS VEGAS — At ISC West 2013, Mul-T-Lock will be offering a host of comprehensive, wireless electronic access control (EAC) solutions. Mul-T-Lock will feature ProQsimity wireless self-contained locksets, cylinders, readers and accessories for access control and CLIQ e-cylinders and smart keys, which offer wire-free electromechanical locking.

“We are about providing the right solution for the right need,” said Sheri Butts, Marketing Manager, Mul-T-Lock USA, Inc. “Having both ProQsimity which offers comprehensive access control capabilities as well as CLIQ, which brings key electronic features to virtually any opening, using wire-free e-cylinders, locks and padlocks that can integrate with mechanical key systems gives our users so much flexibility.  These solutions give them the ability to add access control to every door, most doors or maybe just a few depending on their specific need.  They can install upgrades exactly where they need them, including places where traditional wired solutions can’t go such as remote or outlying buildings, medical utility carts, cash cages and more.”

Mul-T-Lock’s ProQsimity offers a simplified access control solution for any access point by delivering access control via a wireless network to self-contained locksets.  Wire-free ANSI style cylindrical, mortise and exit trim devices are sleek, elegant and install as easily as a standard lockset. The ProQsimity lineup also includes, wireless cylinders for doors and padlocks, cabinet locks, readers and accessories

ProQsimity operates via a variety of credential options including cards, fobs, disposable bracelets, silicon wristbands and even combined Mul-T-Lock mechanical key credentials (the SynerKey includes a transponder embedded in the head of a mechanical key) and is compatible with either HID iClass or MIFARE technology.  Additionally, the ProQsimity family of products will soon be equipped with NFC technology so that mobile devices such as smart phones and tablets can act as credentials as well.  Plus, Mul-t-Lock is working on apps for iPhone and Android devices which will allow users to easily connect to the ProQsimity manager software using their mobile devices.  A scalable solution, ProQsimity truly offers a system and technology designed to grow with your needs.

Controlled directly and remotely from a PC and with updates sent wirelessly over the network, ProQsimity Wireless offers: complete audit trail reports, easy changes to schedules and authorizations, opening of distant doors from afar and more through intuitive and easy-to-learn software.  In addition, ProQsimity is also available in Update-on-Card, Offline, and Standalone system variations.

Mul-T-Lock’s CLIQ is a complete, patented range of wire-free e-cylinders, deadbolts, locksets, padlocks and utility locks, all of which install exactly as a mechanical device does – no wiring, no hardware medications, and no extensive labor or cost.  CLIQ provides combined electronic and mechanical locking and brings access control features such as key scheduling, audit trail and more to virtually any opening.

User-friendly, web-based CLIQ software allows system managers to initiate changes and view audit trails from any authorized computer.  Key holders can easily update and/or revalidate their credentials by inserting them into either a stationary programming/refreshing device, which mounts on a wall and connects to a central server via LAN, or a handheld mobile device that communicates via USB or Bluetooth with a mobile phone or laptop.

CLIQ solutions utilize micro electronics which are embedded in the e-cylinders and only awakened when in contact with an authorized CLIQ smart key, which contains the sole power source (a common watch battery).  This makes CLIQ a most-ideal solution for applications where wiring may be costly or impossible, such as historical buildings, moving applications, water and cell towers and more.  Available CLIQ products include deadbolts, cylindrical locksets, padlocks, utility locks, and retrofit cylinders.

Furthermore, CLIQ is compatible with Mul-T-Lock’s two most popular mechanical high security key formats: MT5+ and Interactive+, which allows CLIQ e-cylinders and mechanical high security cylinders to co-exist within a single system, while remaining operable by the same key (CLIQ smart keys can operate both e-cylinders and mechanical cylinders).  Mul-T-Lock’s SynerCLIQ tri-credential provides full circle integration.  This electromechanical smart key includes a transponder, allowing this single key to operate e-cylinders, mechanical cylinders and ProQsimity or another system’s access control points.
