New ASHE director stresses supporting the healthcare facility management community

ASHE members' mission is provide safe, cost-effective patient care environments


Working together to optimize the physical healthcare environment and provide safe, cost-effective patient care environments is the American Society for Healthcare Engineering's (ASHE) mission, according to an article by P.J. Andrus, ASHE's new executive director, on the Health Facilities Management website.

ASHE's strategic imperatives are:

• Member value

• Succession planning. 

Andrus said ASHE is working to increase awareness of healthcare facilities management by talking about the field as a viable career.
