New Hawaiian hospital to have almost 500 security cameras

A new building for the state’s only psychiatric hospital is currently under construction


The new Hawaii State Hospital, currently under construction, will have almost 500 security cameras, according to an article on the KITV website.

Each floor is designed with safety in mind. ?

There are clear lines of site from the nurse’s station to the entire unit. In the old building, there were a lot of hidden spots. 

It's a four story building with plans for 144 beds, a gym, therapy and classrooms and a dining room.
