New LZR Microscan Automatic Swing Door Sensor from BEA

Pittsburgh, Pa. - The new LZR microscan from BEA is the first automatic swing door sensor for pedestrian doors to use laser-based time of flight (TOF) technology for detection and activation. The sensor is immune to ground disturbances and other environmental factors that cause false activations in similar infrared-based technologies. The LZR microscan combines technology from BEA's proven Bodyguard and Superscan sensors to safely operate swing doors. The door mounted sensor exceeds ANSI 156.10 standards, and joins the BEA IXIO-DT1 for sliding doors as the first automatic door sensors to pass rigorous UL listing requirements. The LZR microscan requires less installation, setup and service time while providing increased reliability and safety.
