Nyack Hospital's emergency drill is designed to prepare for an armed intruder scenario at the hospital

Nyack Hospital held as emergency drill today designed to prepare for an active shooter scenario at the hospital, according to a story on the Rockland Times website.

Staff and emergency responders at the New York facility simulated a crisis that will address the hospital’s “Code Silver” policy which directs staff on how to respond in the event of an active shooter, the article said.

The drill was held in a section of the hospital not occupied by patients. It did not interfere with patient care or disrupt police activity, the article said.
