New emergency facility planned for downtown Toledo

New 29,000-square-foot facility will expand surgical services

Mercy Health is planning a new emergency facility for downtown Toledo, according to an article on the NBC 24 website.

The new 29,000-square-foot facility at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center will expand surgical services.

The facility will be a two-story building that will house both St. Vincent and Mercy Children's emergency services, including Mercy's level 1 trauma center. An expanded surgical area on the second floor will house pre-operative services and post-operative care.

Mercy Life Flight will remain on the east side of the medical center. During construction, a temporary base site will be set up behind the main hospital.
