North Dakota State Hospital plans energy-efficient upgrades

Efficiency upgrades to heating and cooling systems are expected, along with lighting, roofing and insulation replacement


Infrastructure improvements are planned at the North Dakota State Hospital in Jamestown, according to an article on the Jamestown Sun website.

Unesco, a Fargo architectural firm, is evaluating the hospital's potential to improve energy efficiency and reduce operating costs with maintenance and updates to buildings and equipment.

Efficiency upgrades to heating and cooling systems are expected, along with lighting, roofing and insulation replacement. The pharmacy will have its own heating and cooling to protect medications.

Aging water pipes are also a concern. Some are connected to city water pipes that are also aging.
