PDI honors Hand Hygiene Day and reminds why hand hygiene is important in healthcare environments

In recognition of the annual Hand Hygiene Day promoted by CDC and the World Health Organization, PDI created an infographic to remind every healthcare professional of the importance to practice safe hand hygiene.

“Get your hands dirty” – highlights some of the most contaminated surfaces throughout healthcare facilities. Without regular hand washing, sanitization and environmental awareness, the transfer of bacteria can put patients at risk of Hospital Acquired Infections. And as healthcare professionals continue to work overtime to help save lives, PDI will continue to promote safe hygiene practices to ensure the safety of patients and staff from spread of infections.
