According to Modern Healthcare’s annual Construction & Design Survey, participants predicted that healthcare industry growth would be the strongest in outpatient and retail clinics. Microhospitals are also popping up all over.
The trend toward smaller healthcare facilities aligns with the latest prefabrication innovations, the article said.
Contractors have found that prefabrication can shave weeks or months off of the standard construction schedule while also offering cost savings.
