The Presence Center for Advanced Care is another example of how Presence Health is transforming health care.  The new modern, accessible ambulatory (outpatient) care facility offers a welcoming, easy-to-navigate setting to maximize patient care and comfort. The 9-story building is located on the Presence Saint Joseph Hospital campus at 2845 North Sheridan Road, Chicago and is a regional destination for Advanced Imaging, Women’s Imaging, Ambulatory Surgery, Digestive Health & Endoscopy, integrative medicine, physical therapy and rehab, and diabetes education and wellness. The PCAC is also home to the Presence Chicago Institute of Advanced Bariatrics, The Center for Orthopedic and Specialty Care, the Mark M. Connolly Center for Cancer Care and the Zaccone Center for Holistic Healing. The center is connected to the main hospital via a skybridge and the upper floors feature private medical and physician space.

Presence Health owns the land, but does not own the building.  These partnerships allowed for better control of capital expenditures, and allowed for the savings to be poured back into better equipment, technology, treatments and people.  All of this allows Presence to provide an excellent patient experience. 

The PCAC is also a hub for the community; the new facility has a Walgreens (which will deliver medications to patient beds, just before discharge) a coffee bar, community meeting spaces on the 5th floor where people can meet and discuss the important issues in this community.  

“Patients and insurers are also looking for hospitals to deliver more coordinated care, which reduces costs for both patients and insurers, but also provides a better experience for the patient,” stated Luskin-Hawk.  “We can now offer a wider array of services, new technologies and integrative care in one location.  Physicians are also thrilled because they can now see patients in both an outpatient and inpatient setting without traveling between clinics, nursing units and medical groups.”
