A: It all depends on whether you’re talking about existing conditions or new construction. If you’re talking about existing conditions, then you need to find out what regulations and standards were in effect when the unit was designed. Once the room is constructed to a particular set of ventilation requirements, then they stay that way until you renovate the unit.
