The first thing that hospitals need to do to combat workplace violence is to recognize the fact that there are greater problems with workplace violence in healthcare according to an article on the Security Info Watch website.

Workers should be educated as to what the warning signs are and what their role is when they witness incidences of violence.

Healthcare facilities should also have the proper mix of integrated technology solutions and incorporate security strategies into the overall design of the facility.
