WHITE PLAINS, Md.- Area physicians and medical professionals got their first look at Southern Maryland's only modern medical resort on March 4th during a Grand Opening Reception at the new Restore Health Rehabilitation in White Plains.
Members of the medical community, as well as local business leaders, met with the staff and toured the hospitality-centered facility, including the state-of-the-art rehabilitation gymnasium, where patients will use the latest medical equipment to jump-start their recovery.
Restore Health Rehabilitation will also host a Grand Opening event for the general public on Saturday, March 14. For more information, visit Restore-Rehabilitation.com or schedule a private tour by calling (240) 448-2000.
Restore Health Rehabilitation is a post-acute transitional care facility, a short-term destination for patients who no longer require a hospital stay but aren't yet ready to go home. Its presence allows physicians to refer their patients to a new facility offering excellent medical care close to home, providing added convenience and reassurance to patients and family members alike.
"We're excited about what Restore Health can do for this community and the response from local physicians has been outstanding," said Dr. Scott Rifkin, founder of its parent company, Mid-Atlantic Health Care, LLC. "Between all the latest medical equipment and the resort-style atmosphere, we think it'll be an ideal destination for so many of their patients."
When referred by their physician, patients will enjoy high-end hospitality with private rooms, restaurant-style dining and room service, not to mention concierge services and an open-air courtyard. They have access to free in-room television and Internet, as well as salon services.
The experience at Restore Health Rehabilitation is designed to provide patients a comfortable place to recharge their minds and bodies, while focusing on recovering and getting back home.
Restore Health is owned by Mid-Atlantic Health Care, LLC, which was founded by Dr. Rifkin in 2003 to provide the most modern and effective treatments in a post-hospital setting. Mid-Atlantic Health Care now operates 18 high-performing rehabilitation centers throughout Maryland and Delaware.
