Schaffner introduces North American restructuring


The Schaffner Group announces a new sales structure to better serve their North American customers: Schaffner North America, Power Solutions. Combining the North American sales forces of Schaffner Trenco, Schaffner MTC and Schaffner Power Quality, the new entity will sell and service all Schaffner Power Magnetics products (transformers, reactors, inductors, output filters) and Power Quality harmonic filters.   

Also, Schaffner-MTC (Magnetic Technologies Corporation) and Schaffner-Trenco (Transformer Engineering Company) are consolidating into Schaffner-MTC’s Wytheville, VA facility, forming a center of excellence for Power Magnetics engineering and operations.    

No changes were made to Schaffner’s EMC division and its sales, marketing and engineering remain headquartered in Edison, NJ. 

Schaffner’s portfolio of “shaping electrical power” solutions is one of the broadest in the industry including EMI filters, chokes and power quality harmonic filters, engineered low and medium voltage transformers, inductors, reactors and other power magnetic components and systems.
