Several Crown Mats and Matting products now certified by the National Floor Safety Institute

FREMONT, Ohio - Crown Mats and Matting, one of the largest and oldest matting companies in the U.S., proudly announces that several of its matting products have passed the National Floor Safety Institute's (NFSI) Phase 2 Testing procedure and are now certified as providing "High-Traction."

This status means the products help contribute to a safer and healthier indoor environment, according to JoAnne Boston, business development manager for Crown Mats and Matting.

"It also verifies what we have long known-an effective, high-performance matting system can help prevent slips and falls, which not only reduces worker injuries, but also the high costs associated with these injuries," she adds.

The Crown Mats and Matting products now NFSI certified are:

Zedlan™, a patented foam the company developed for use in its anti-fatigue mats

"The mission of the NFSI is to help reduce slip and fall accidents and make facilities safer," notes Boston. "We are honored so many of our products have met its high standards and that Crown can help contribute to these goals."

The National Floor Safety Institute (NFSI) was founded in 1997. It is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to aid in the prevention of slips, trips, and falls through education, research, and standards development.
