'Small Hospital, Big Idea' winner gives progress report

Article on Healthcare Design website shares winning project update from Aditazz and M+NLB/Perkins+Will

In 2011, Kaiser Permanente chose the winners of its "Small Hospital, Big Idea" competition, recognizing Aditazz and M+NLB/Perkins+Will for their design concept for a small, eco-conscious, high-tech, and patient- and family-friendly hospital, according to an article on the Healthcare Design website.  Recently, the team behind the winning project shared the status of those ideas three years later in the session "Kaiser's Small Hospital, Big Ideas, Part 2: The Next Generation," at the ASHE PDC Summit in Orlando, Fla. Between conception and delivery, a lot can be lost in translation, Ward Vercruysse, co-founder of Aditazz, said in the article  To avoid the disconnect, the team simulates designs and creates models that evaluate staff operations and activities.
