Specialty Glass Doors Aim to Improve Aesthetics

Haas Door has expanded its specialty glass offering of insulated and non-insulated tempered glass for both commercial and residential garage doors in all of the company’s product lines except for the commercial 800 Series.

Insulated glass combinations now available across all aluminum and steel product lines include Light Gray/Clear, Dark Gray/Clear, Bronze/Clear, Dark Gray/Dark Gray, Light Gray/Frost, Dark Gray/Frost and Bronze/Frost.

Windows in garage doors with single pane tempered glass are now available in Light Gray, Dark Gray, Bronze, Plexiglass, Clear Lexan/Polycarbonate, and Obscure. Additionally, the company expanded the aluminum full view products to include single pane glass options of Frosted Safety Laminate, Wire, Clear Safety Laminate and Reflective Bronze glass in both commercial and residential garage doors.

“These ‘across-the-board’ glass options give people even more ways to customize their residential and commercial garage doors,” says Kent Nafziger, vice president of sales and marketing at Haas Door. “The selection of glass is important because it helps the garage door complement the home or business exterior.

“For example, if a home has trim or shutters painted in black, the owners may choose a Dark Gray/Dark Gray glass offering to match the house exterior. Or, a business with unique metal exterior accents like gutters, lighting fixtures and other hardware, may best be complemented with a Bronze glass offering.”

The new specialty glass choices from Haas Door join the company’s existing decorative glass options, providing the public with dozens of ways to customize their garage doors. The Haas Door glass options span across both residential and commercial products lines, with the exception of the 3” thick 800 Series in the company’s commercial offering.

“From clear glass that provides maximum sunlight into the garage to combinations that are extremely obscure to protect homeowner privacy, we offer a wide variety of options for door glass,” Nafziger says. “These can be just a color over a frost in our insulated glass options or a single pane of textured tempered glass. Either way, customers have tremendous choices when it comes to glass selections.”
