Spectra254 Partners with MedTech MedCare

Spectra254, a provider of UVC Light disinfection systems, announced it has signed an agreement with national medical sales company MedTech MedCare to provide national representation of Spectra254’s UVC light decontamination systems.

The partnership is expected to significantly expand the access of Spectra254’s UVC light decontamination systems to healthcare facilities throughout the United States. MedTech MedCare is a premier sales and support organization dedicated to the acute healthcare market, providing Spectra254 with an estimated reach to more than 5,500 healthcare facilities in North America.

“Proof of our customer first attitude started with the introduction of an industry first three warranty, today we expand on that goal, with the signing of an exclusive partnership with MedTech MedCare, [MTMC] and the addition of 50 experienced healthcare professionals with offices nationwide, to sell, service and support Spectra254 customers,” said Sanford Green, senior executive at Spectra254. “This agreement complements several others we have in place with corporate regional executives and specialized rep firms to expand Spectra254’s reach to all channels of the healthcare space.”

As part of the agreement, MedTech MedCare will sell and provide support on all Spectra254 systems. This includes providing in-service support and ongoing training to customers.

“The addition of the Spectra254 UVC light decontamination suite of product marks our first offering of such a system to our acute care customers,” said Jack Moran, managing partner of MedTech MedCare, based in Forestdale, Mass. “Our customers have encouraged us to evaluate UVC solutions over the past several years, but the technology and the partnership opportunities did not match our goals until now.”

MedTech MedCare will provide sales and support on several products from Spectra254, including the Spectra 1000 Series, the Spectra 500 and the Spectra RDS-30, a rapid disinfection system for shared tools and electronics. Each system uses germicidal lamps to eliminate pathogens on surfaces. The UVC energy conversion [watts to dosage] is so high, that in a five-minute period at a distance of ten feet, the Spectra 1000 will kill more than 99 percent of C. diff spores and kill 99 percent of the MRSA bacteria. Spectra254’s devices are also laboratory tested to eliminate C. difficile spores, an Ebola surrogate on surfaces and the Human Enterovirus.

The company offers a practical approach to UVC disinfection in healthcare and related markets, developing multiple systems that are independently tested, easy to use and offer an expanded set of features, functions and benefits normally reserved for systems at a much higher price. All third-party tests and reports are available by request or from the company’s web site.

Spectra systems are assembled by an ISO 9001:2008 + AS9100C certified company located in Connecticut, USA. Full product line details are available at www.spectra254.com, by calling 203-796-5315 direct or through emailing sales@spectra254.com.
